MapQuest may be good enough that the rest are not necessary? Let me
know what you think?
-
MapQuest very
good to get a quick map of a given address; and great aerial photos.
- Tiger Mapping
by Census bureau should be good. Let me know if you like
it.
-
NIMA
information about Government produced maps and links to USGS.
-
Shake Maps
posted automatically after significant earthquakes.
-
Landsat 7
web site by NASA. Information and photos.
-
TerraFly
Allows you to enter an address (or Lat/Lon) and get a Satellite
Photograph with that address in the middle. Very impressive. You can
also "Fly" and zoom in or out. Because it is downloading a lot of
graphic information, it is rather slow on a 56K modem.
-
TerraServer
aerial photographs of almost any place in the US.
?? Designed by Microsoft ?? I find it hard to use, and like
TerraFly better.
