Simple "Slightly Brown" Bread

Ingredients

*If you want: adjust the ratio of whole wheat to white flour, but keep the total to 4 cups. I often use 2 cups of each.

I use a Zojirushi BB-CEC20 bread machine set for "Basic Bread" and I have a loaf of bread 3½ hours latter. If you put the ingredients in as above, so the Yeast stays dry, you can set the timer to have the bread done up to 18 hours latter.

I find the crust is not as dark as I like, and I think it should bake a bit longer; so I often put it in a convection oven set at 375° for another 15 minutes. But, when I don't have a convection oven available I don't bother to heat up a big oven.

I found a French bread recipe with even fewer ingredients.
