I'm still not noticing any negative effects from the radiation treatments. Still having to get up 4 times in the night. Maybe when I have to go there is a little more urgency. I seem to get tired a little quicker than I think I used to, but that is hard to measure.
On 2010 October 6th I got my 2nd hormone shot, and the Dr's thought it would be wise to start taking a 50 MG "Casodex" tablet every day. It is supposed to help the hormone shots reduce the testosterone even more, so I started that on the 6th. It is a very small pill that doesn't taste very good; but other than the taste I don't notice any effect.
Since the 18th the radiation I am getting is more focused, and not as long. I get the impression this is more or less finishing touches. I think this coming week will be my last full week, and then four more the following week; and the radiation should be done.
After the treatments, I have another blood sample taken on the 15th or 16th, then on the 18th an appointment with the Urologist. I will find out then how things look and what to expect next. I don't think I need to do any more until early January when I get another hormone shot. I haven't decided if I want to come back to San Jose for it or have a Dr. in Arizona do it. In a way it would be nice to continue on with the one I have had all summer.
