On 2011 August 26 a blood sample was taken to check my PSA, I had appointments on October 6th with the Urologist and the Radiation Oncologist to get the PSA results, and in general see how things are going.
My PSA was 0.7 which the Urologist told me was low. I asked about it being up from 0.15 earlier. He explained that was when I was still on the Hormone Therapy; and it is normal to rise when the Testosterone level returns. I ask if possibly my strength, endurance etc. would come back. It may somewhat, but a man 77 years old, can't expect to have the get up and go of some guy in his 20's. Really, I knew that; and we agreed: All things considered, I am very fortunate. And will check back in about six months.
Pretty much the same with the Oncologist. He did a "digital" exam and said the prostate felt about the size it should be after treatment. We spoke about "Libido" and we were both pleased, I am feeling that increase; but still I am 77 years old. He is a great guy and I feel I can discuss with him more than I want to describe here. I told him that in "My Books" I would rate him with Dr. Ruth. He accepted the complement and told me: They have done about all they can do for me, but if I have any questions feel free to call.
