The wash on Moon Mountain Avenue in front of West Park washed away in the rain storm last week. It was at least 3 to 4 feet deep where the rain washed the dirt away alongside the pavement next to the yellow house on Moon Mtn. The east side of the north bound lane was gone, so they blocked it off and have been repairing it all week. They poured concrete alongside the pavement and into the wash to stop it from happening again. The new concrete is about 40 feet long and goes into the wash about 20 feet and is at least 8 inches thick. It won't wash out again!
We put a trailer on our acre lot for our son, Lyle, to live in but we won't build a new house for a year or so yet. The new brick walls and the gates look great. Ernie fixed the leak on Beau's lot and lot 55 has dried up completely now.
It has cooled off around here too. It has barely hit 100 for a week now and the nights are nice and cool. Mornings too. We don't even mind the mid day sun too much. The 120 and 118 degree days are a thing of the past. I hope. I wish we would get some rain. It rains all around us but not here. The one rain is all we have had.
Not much news around here. See you this winter.
