It was 120 degrees Friday. Much, much cooler Saturday. It was only 118. Ha! Sunday got up to 116 and today it is 113 now at 2:48PM.

The leak on lot 55 is getting worse. The birds and rabbits are loving it. Every time I go by, there are numerous birds and rabbits there. I reminded the Kool Kover guys again this AM but they said Steve isn't going to fix any more leaks. They were building a new garage across the street from Nita & Kareen.

Gail & I filled the water buckets in Steve & Joan's and Lynn & Janet's places again this AM. Most were completely dry again. It has been humid but they dry up in the heat.

I watered all the plants on 5 lots besides ours again today. I try to water every 3 or 4 days. I had to stake up Steve & Joan's tree because it had blown over. It is starting to grow a little now. All the other trees in the park are growing like weeds. The most amazing growth is on Clay's lot as you enter the park. All those little 15 inch twigs he planted are now full grown trees! Lots of lookie-loos the last few days. Hasn't been much traffic thru the park for a while until this last week end.

Steve Bennet moved two more double wide mobile homes onto his new property beside his triple wide and to the east of the pool house . He is having a 5 foot high wall built across the back and down the west side of his property. He has footings for a wall completely around his acreage but it isn't built yet. He had sod laid down between all 72 trees in his yard. Now it looks like an orange grove with grass between the trees. It will be very difficult to mow the lawn, but he will hire it done anyway. Maybe he will let us play golf there. Nah!

Silly Al's Pizza place opened up Friday. It has been packed every night. Of course there is no other place to go in town besides the fast food joints and service stations.

The big fire below Blythe is almost out after burning every tree and bush along both sides of the river for several miles. Terrible destruction of wildlife habitat and erosion control.

According to our esteemed councilman, Walt Akin, the State Health Department is going to pull a surprise inspection of the Isaiah 58 Project this afternoon. They are not supposed to have anyone living there and are not to have a working kitchen yet. Ha! There are at least 60 people living on the property and you can smell food cooking for 2 blocks in any direction. There are about 20 old cars and vans there too. They had an ambulance call there last week for a massive drug overdose on one of their saintly denizens that took a little too much Meth. ( for purely religious reasons, I'm sure). The old Apache Indian "preacher" that preached to us at the town meeting is working in the Family Dollar store and the fat ugly woman "preacher" that kept pointed her finger at me at the meeting is working in Bealls. I will not be shopping either place again.

Stay cool and we miss you.

Harvey & Gail
