There was some more excitement over the weekend.

Local cops shot and killed an older man just north of Quail Trail and Moon Mountain Ave. The man was despondent and had slit his wrists. His grandchildren called for an ambulance. An ambulance, a fire truck, two local cops, a sheriff and a highway patrol car all responded. I went to see what all the excitement was about and I got the info from his next door neighbor. When all the sirens responded to the medical (attempted suicide) call, the old man wouldn't answer the door. The teenage grandkids tried to crawl through the window to help him. He pulled a pistol and waved it at the cops and the kids so the cops shot him to death. The gun was a blank-shooter from his days as a movie stuntman and couldn't shoot real bullets, but the cops didn't know that. They are ruling it a "suicide-by-cop" shooting.

Never a dull moment around here.
