The yellow house had water right up to his front door. He may have had water in his house, But I don't know for sure. I wouldn't live there if the house was free!
I talked to our Town Councilman, Walt Akins, at Herbs and he said that the health department did NOT inspect the Isiah 58 Project because the Jewish Defense league is now suing the town of Quartzsite on their behalf, claiming discrimination. It may go to the Supreme Court, according to Walt. He says the town attorney says to back off of comments and questions about the 'project' until this is resolved in the courts. Lots of 'homeless' people on their premises now, but I don't know of any trouble from them, other than our truck got egged last Thursday night or early morning Friday. I suspect it was someone from the project because I have been the only person openly opposed to them other than the lady, Mary, that owns the Cactus Curlers beauty shop next door to them.
The rain we got yesterday was only about a quarter of an inch and soaked in well. No washouts of the roads. Quail Trail is now open. They just filled the washed out portion with rock and dirt and rolled and packed it well. Of course it will wash out again with the next rain but at least we can take the shortcut to Herbs and the post office.
Can't wait to see you again.
